Sources and method
How we work
We read each fact on a page we can link to, and we note the day we read it. A sentence on this site never says more than its source. When sources disagree, as they do on the months or on when tours began, we give each one with its source.
Sighting rates are the figures of the association of operators or of each operator, and we say whose they are. We have found no independent count. No tour can promise you a whale.
Prices, ratings and what each tour includes come from the tour's own page on GetYourGuide. The details under each list of tours show the day we last read the prices.
Some of our sources are operators that sell the same tours. We list them here, so that you can check what we say.
We earn a commission if you book through our links, at no extra cost to you.
